A severe snow storm warning has been issued for Hokkaido. Strong winds and heavy snowfall are predicted between mid-morning on March 1st thru the 2nd. Please confirm the latest weather updates via TV, radio or internet.
Please prepare for the possibility of a sudden power outage and keep a flashlight as well as protection against the cold, such as blankets, available. After checking the state of the weather, please clear away snow to ensure you have an entrance and exit.
Please avoid being outside. When you must go outside, please pay extra attention to falling objects and try to avoid hypothermia by dressing appropriately.
