Volunteer-Guided Tour (Japanese & English) <Who can join> Foreign residents and their families and friends <Time> ① 10:30–12:00 ② 13:30–15:00 <Capacity> About 20 people per tour (first come, first served) <What you will do> •Hands-on experiences with an earthquake simulator truck and heavy rain simulation •You will try making cardboard beds at an evacuation shelter and learn how to prepare at home. •Try emergency food samples *Other activities at the venue There will also be food trucks, winter sports experiences, fire engine displays, and a footbath experience provided by the Japan Self-Defense Forces! No application needed if you don’t need a volunteer guide. Feel free to join the event on your own. |

Sapporo International Communication Plaza (3rd Floor, MN Bldg., Kita 1 Nishi 3-3) | Hinamatsuri is a festival held on March 3 every year to pray for the healthy growth and happiness of girls. At Sapporo International Plaza, decorated with hina dolls, why not enjoy calligraphy, origami, Japanese tea tasting, and traditional Japanese toys? You can also listen to ghost stories by Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo) in both Japanese and English, as well as a performance of the shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese bamboo flute. |
