Part-time jobs for international students
International students who wish to work part time must get approval from their schools, approval from local immigration bureau for activities not listed on their residential status, and follow the conditions listed below. Please note that working without the Bureau's permission or beyond the permitted scope (hours and type of work) can result in deportation or other penalties.
- The part-time work should leave enough time for school activities.
- The part-time work should be used to supplement tuition and other necessary expenses.
- The part-time work CANNOT be sex-related
- The table below shows the limits to hours worked:
