Da Jia Hao!
I am He Xiao Yun from Shanghai.
Starting this spring (2011),I will be working as a Coordinator for International Relations here in Sapporo. I was born in Jiangxi, a southern province of China, which spreads from the banks of the Yangtze River in the north to the hillier areas in the south. Sometimes it snows, but never as much as in Sapporo. Jiangxi is famous for Jingdezhen Ceramics, Lu Shan Mountain (World Heritage) etc., and is a beautiful place attracting tourists from abroad every year.
I have studied Japanese for four years from 2002 in the Japanese Department of East China Normal University which is located in Shanghai. During my life as a university student, I studied Japanese literature, history, culture and of course written and spoken Japanese, while I had lots of opportunities to meet Japanese exchange students to practice my Japanese language skills. After graduation, I have worked as an assistant of the Chief Representative at the Gifu prefecture Shanghai office for five years, and learned a lot of things about Japan, especially how to work with the Japanese people. I hope such experiences will assist my services for Sapporo City.
After a 2 week business trip to Gifu Prefecture in 2010, I had given thought about living in Japan. The JET program offered such a wonderful environment to pursue my dream, and I am very fortunate to be here.
I like playing badminton, so if anyone else likes it too, please feel free to invite me to play. I would be looking to meeting all of you!
